Like so many women, I have many roles in life, juggling personal and work, with the most important ones being a mother and wife and these are also the most satisfying! I have my own company, Data Protection Solutions. I’m probably one of the few people who is passionate about GDPR! Firstly I enjoy helping people, I always have and I support any size of business to demystify the complexities of Data Protection. The topic is vast and forever changing, so helping my clients, locally and nationally, in finding gaps in their GDPR compliance and supporting them is a job I love! I appear in the HEY Humber Growth Start Up Programme webinars, talking about GDPR basics and have gained the nickname of GDPR Nanny McPhee “When you need me, but do not want me, then I must stay. When you want me, but no longer need me, then I have to go.”
I joined the Women In Business Committee in December 2019. The interaction, support, organisation and ideas of my colleagues shows how proactive WIB is. There are great events to attend and interesting people to meet with the Women of Achievements awards being a highlight in the calendar.
